Fawn Beauty with Appaloosa Heritage
AOA# 36398904  DOB: 10/30/2025  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Light Fawn, Medium Fawn
Sire: ~Apache's Free Spirit (Harlequin Appaloosa)
Dam: Irish Meadows Freya

Born as the very first offspring of her harlequin sire, Apache’s Free Spirit, and out of our multi-champion dam Irish Meadows Freya, Rare Gem Kaya Sunchaser arrived carrying strong genetics and a bright future. Though she comes from Harlequin Appaloosa heritage, Kaya expressed as a beautiful solid medium fawn — her fleece made an immediate statement. Dense, bright, and tightly bundled from the start, her fleece shows the kind of quality we value in our program. From her earliest days, Kaya has been a blur of motion around the farm. Quick-footed, curious, and always on the go, she’s one of the hardest crias to capture on camera — usually racing past just as the shutter clicks. But in the moments she stands still, her balance, expression, and fleece quality speak clearly to the strength of her lineage. Heritage & Strengths From Her Dam — Irish Meadows Freya Freya is a daughter of Elite Maxx and a multi-champion known for her bright, dense fleece and correct conformation. She contributes refinement, structure, and consistent quality to her crias. Kaya reflects her dam’s fleece density and overall balance, even as she diverges in color. Freya’s calm temperament and strong maternal nature also shine through in this young female. From Her Sire — Apache’s Free Spirit As the first cria for Apache’s Free Spirit, Kaya offers an early look at the influence he brings as a Harlequin Appaloosa male. While she did not inherit his spots, she carries the genetic depth behind them — valuable for future breeding potential. Spirit contributes a solid frame, warmth of color, and the presence we expect from Apache descendants. Pattern & Fleece Notes Kaya’s solid medium-fawn fleece is her standout feature. Her staples are dense and tightly bundled, with a silky hand and brightness that showed early and continues to develop. The fineness and uniformity along the staple suggest strong fleece potential as she matures. Combined with her correct structure and alert, forward posture, Kaya presents as a young female with both fiber merit and breeding value. Her coloring may be simple, but her fleece quality is anything but. What She Brings to the Rare Gem Lineup Kaya Sunchaser brings a combination of genetic diversity, strong fleece traits, and dependable structure to the herd. As the first offspring from Apache’s Free Spirit, she helps define the direction of his future contributions while expanding the Appaloosa-influenced gene pool at Rare Gem. Her medium-fawn fleece, rooted in elite dam genetics, positions her as a promising foundation female — capable of producing both quality fiber and, potentially, spotted or patterned offspring depending on her future pairings.

Mirakel's First: Leopard Appaloosa!
AOA# 36398898  DOB: 11/4/2025  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | White, Medium Fawn, True Black
Sire: Mirakel (Appaloosa)
Dam: ~Rare Gem Raya Sunshine (Appaloosa)

Born in the soft light of early morning, Rare Gem Mirakel’s Halo made an entrance we won’t soon forget. This beautiful Leopard Appaloosa female is the first cria for her dam, Rare Gem Apache’s Raya Sunshine and the very first offspring for her sire, Mirakel. Tiny but mighty, bright-eyed and steady from the start, Halo stepped into the world with presence and poise. Her arrival was not without challenge. Halo presented with one leg back and her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck—complications that required quick correction and careful attention. Once safely delivered, a single sunbeam broke across her tiny, still-damp frame. That moment—where effort, relief, and light all converged—is what inspired her name: Mirakel’s Halo. Heritage & Strengths From Her Dam — Raya Sunshine Raya is a modestly expressed Appaloosa, carrying the genetics without bold patterning. She has a strong, balanced frame and a calm, steady temperament. Her sire, Apache, is well known for expressive offspring, and Halo clearly taps into that side of her pedigree. Raya’s line is recognized for good structure, consistency of color, and a natural pasture presence that stands out. From Her Sire — Mirakel Halo is Mirakel’s first-born cria, and she showcases the promise we hoped he would bring to our patterned program. Mirakel contributes refined type with a bright, fine, uniform fleece. We look forward to watching Halo grow as an early reflection of what Mirakel will offer as a future herdsire. Pattern & Fleece Notes Halo presents one of the most exciting newborn fleeces we have seen in our Appaloosa program to date. Her fleece shows tightly bundled staples from birth, with brightness and early organization that catch the eye. The coloring is a beautifully expressed Leopard Appaloosa pattern with depth, dimension, and—much to our delight—true jet-black spots sprinkled throughout. Her markings are clear, attractive, and highly promising for future development. Combined with her correct frame and elegant stance, Halo offers both beauty and substance. What She Brings to the Rare Gem Lineup Each cria adds something meaningful to our ongoing story, and Halo brings a combination of rare color expression, correctness, and early fleece promise. As Mirakel’s first offspring and an exquisitely expressive Leopard Appaloosa, she strengthens our spotted program in an exciting direction. Her birth story, her sunlit arrival, and her exceptional newborn fleece make her a standout youngster with the potential to become a future foundation female.

A Rare Gem First: Reverse Appy
AOA# 36398881  DOB: 11/20/2025  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | White, Medium Fawn, Light Brown
Sire: Mirakel (Appaloosa)
Dam: H2R Myrtle

Born on a quiet morning here at Rare Gem Alpacas, Rare Gem Dappled Daphne arrived bright, alert, and perfectly put together. She is the second cria for her dam, H2R Myrtle, and the second daughter for her leopard Appaloosa sire, Mirakel — and what a beautiful reflection of both parents she is. Daphne is a rare reverse Appaloosa, expressing a warm fawn base scattered with soft white spots. She is also a meaningful milestone for us here at Rare Gem: our first-ever reverse Appaloosa cria. From her earliest moments, she showed straight legs, excellent balance, and that confident sweetness we love to see in newborns. Heritage & Strengths From Her Dam — H2R Myrtle Myrtle comes from a lineage rich in plant- and flower-themed names, including Calla Lily and Hazelnut. She contributes feminine refinement, correct conformation, and the gentle, maternal temperament that shines through in each of her offspring. Her line is known for producing solid frames and elegant fleece character — qualities reflected in Daphne. From Her Sire — Mirakel Mirakel, a spotted leopard Appaloosa male of exceptional presence and balance, brings brightness, type, and pattern expression. His crias are consistently show correct build, typey heads, and gorgeous fleece from the get go. Daphne is the paternal sister to our 2025 cria Mirakel’s Halo— same typey phenotype and stunning fleece. Pattern & Fleece Notes Daphne presents one of the most exciting patterns within the Rare Gem program — a reverse Appaloosa, featuring creamy white spotting on a warm fawn background. Her white patches are soft-edged and feminine, giving her the appearance of a fawn sprinkled with white spots. Her fleece is bright and fine at birth, with a well-organized, silky feel that we look forward to watching develop. Combined with her correct frame and strong bone, Daphne shows every sign of being a future foundation-quality female. What She Brings to the Rare Gem Lineup Each alpaca born here adds something unique to our ongoing story, and Daphne brings a blend of rare color expression, genetic depth, and strong conformation. As our first reverse Appaloosa, she expands our spotted palette in a meaningful way. Her botanical name honors her dam’s heritage, her pattern adds diversity to our Appaloosa program, and her phenotype reflects the thoughtful pairing between Myrtle and Mirakel. She is a lovely example of the outcome we seek — rarity, beauty, and balance all wrapped into one promising package. About Her Name Daphne’s name honors the true Daphne flower, continuing the botanical theme in Myrtle’s maternal line. “Dappled” describes her reverse-Appaloosa pattern — soft, white, petal-like markings across her warm fawn fleece.

Tiny Spark, Mighty Presence!

Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Light Fawn
Sire: ~Rare Gem Camouflage (Harlequin)
Dam: Rare Gem X-Spotsss Illusion

Born on New Year’s Eve as fireworks echoed through the night sky and a winter storm rolled in, Rare Gem Firefly made her entrance with unmistakable determination. From the very first moments, she proved that size has nothing to do with presence. Despite arriving at just 12.5 pounds after a full 339-day gestation, Firefly showed remarkable strength and coordination from her first moments—standing, nursing, and moving with purpose almost immediately. Her early vigor and balance suggest that her petite start reflects individuality rather than limitation, and she is expected to mature into a strong, functional, and fully capable female. She is sired by the expressive Harlequin Appaloosa herdsire Rare Gem Camouflage, bringing bold Appaloosa genetics, presence, and proven pattern influence. Her maternal grandsire is the Appaloosa herdsire Rare Gem X-Man, creating a meaningful concentration of Appaloosa genetics on both the top and bottom of her pedigree. This layered genetic depth offers value to breeders who understand that Appaloosa inheritance extends well beyond immediate visual expression. Her dam, Rare Gem X-Spotsss Illusion, contributes strong Snowmass lineage along with an easy-keeping nature and excellent maternal instincts. Together, this pairing blends reliability, genetic depth, and quiet capability. Despite her tiny start, Firefly shows straight legs, balanced conformation, and an alert, intelligent presence. Her early vigor, coordination, and strength strongly suggest that she will mature into a solid, functional, and fully capable female—well suited for inclusion as a quality foundation prospect. Firefly’s name suits her perfectly. Like her namesake, she is small but luminous—quietly lighting up the pasture with energy, resilience, and charm. With her depth of Appaloosa genetics, exceptional early vitality, and memorable New Year’s Eve arrival, Rare Gem Firefly represents a bright beginning with a promising future.

Appaloosa Genetics!
AOA# 36398782  DOB: 2/8/2026  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Dark Fawn
Sire: ~Apache's Be Brave (Harlequin Appaloosa)
Dam: Snowmass Promise of Hope (Champion Offspring)

Born a petite 11 pounds, Rare Gem Liv with Hope entered the world small in size but immense in spirit. From the moment she stood, she has not stopped moving — chasing older crias, bounding across the pasture, and announcing her presence with confidence far beyond her age. She may be tiny, but she is mighty! Liv is the first offspring of Harlequin Appaloosa herdsire Rare Gem Apache’s Be Brave, marking the beginning of his production story. While she “missed the memo on the spots,” her phenotype is already exquisite — strong frame, balanced structure, bright expression, sweet disposition, and remarkable vitality. Out of proven champion-producing dam Snowmass Promise of Hope, Liv carries forward a maternal line known for quality, presence, and consistency. Her maternal siblings include banner winners and export-quality females, and early signs suggest Liv will proudly follow in their footsteps. At just one week of age, she is gaining between half a pound and a full pound per day — thriving under Hope’s exceptional maternal care. Her name is layered with meaning. To live. To rise. To carry hope forward. Liv is healthy and perfect in every way, despite her dam facing a serious late-gestation challenge with hepatic lipidosis. We feel deeply grateful that Hope was able to overcome that obstacle and go on to deliver a beautiful, thriving cria. Liv represents the next chapter at Rare Gem — strength born from challenge, joy born from perseverance, and a future that feels very bright indeed.

The Future, Unlaced!
 DOB: 6/9/2026  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Female | Unproven | Dark Fawn
Sire: Accoyo America Conjurer
Dam: Snowmass Fantasy in Lace

Rare Gem Fantasy Unlaced—known around the farm as Finley—is the very first offspring of Snowmass Fantasy In Lace, one of the cornerstone females selected for the Rare Gem foundation herd through the 2025 Parade of Champions auction. From the moment she stood, Finley demanded attention. Wrapped in an extraordinary blanket of dense, highly organized fleece with exceptional brightness and architecture, she displayed the kind of early fleece characteristics every breeder hopes to see. While time will ultimately reveal her full potential, her first impression left us incredibly optimistic about her future. Finley represents the thoughtful blending of two legendary breeding programs. Her dam carries the renowned Snowmass genetics that have long been admired for elite fleece quality, while her sire, Accoyo America Conjurer, contributes the carefully developed Accoyo America lineage. Together, they produced a female that embodies the qualities we hoped this pairing would achieve. Her registered name, Fantasy Unlaced, is a playful nod to her dam, Snowmass Fantasy In Lace. As Fantasy's first daughter, her name celebrates the beginning of a new generation while quietly acknowledging the story that brought her here. Around the farm, she's simply known as Finley—a name inspired by the hope that her exceptionally fine fleece will become one of her defining qualities. As the first cria from one of our premier foundation females, Finley represents far more than a single breeding. She marks the beginning of a maternal line we hope will influence the Rare Gem breeding program for years to come.

Sire: ~Rare Gem Camouflage (Harlequin)
Dam: FDA Warrior’s Georgia (Sale Pending)

Sometimes an Appaloosa doesn’t reveal all her secrets at first glance. Rare Gem hAppy Down Under arrived looking considerably more conservative than we might have expected from a pairing between proven Appaloosa producer FDA Warrior’s Georgia and our Harlequin Appaloosa male Rare Gem Camouflage. But when cria shearing day arrived, Appy had a surprise waiting for us — **spots hiding across her belly underneath all that fleece.** And just like that, hAppy Down Under had her name. hAppy brings together two very interesting sides of our Appaloosa breeding program. Her dam, Georgia, has already proven her ability to produce dramatic pattern. Bred to Chimbote, Georgia produced Rare Gem Thankful Eve, a striking nose-to-toes leopard Appaloosa female selected for the 2025 Education with a Destination auction. hAppy’s sire, Rare Gem Camouflage, is a handsome Harlequin Appaloosa son of Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia and Running Late’s Peaches and Cream. Camouflage comes from an intriguing patterned line as well — Peaches previously produced classic Appaloosa Rare Gem Night Owl, who was exported to Switzerland. Now Georgia and Camouflage have given us hAppy: a beautifully put-together young female whose pattern is much more subtle, but definitely knows how to make an entrance once you know where to look! For breeders fascinated by the mystery of Appaloosa expression, hAppy offers an especially interesting combination of proven patterned production on her dam’s side and Harlequin Appaloosa genetics through her sire. hAppy is currently offered at side with Georgia as part of a very special three-in-one package, with Georgia bred back to Chimbote — repeating the breeding that produced Thankful Eve. hAppy is co-owned with Flying Dutchman Alpacas.

Cria Male

And another! Reverse Appy #2.
AOA# 36398805  DOB: 11/29/2025  (Under 1 yr)
Huacaya | Cria Male | Unproven | White, Medium Fawn
Sire: Mirakel (Appaloosa)
Dam: Rare Gem Enchanted Girly Girl (Proven Appy Producer)

Born on a cool November morning, Rare Gem Enchanted Manly Man arrived strong, bright, and full of personality. His birth was unassisted, and he was standing and nursing within 30 minutes. What truly caught our attention was something we have never seen in over a decade of breeding—full neck and body wrinkling at birth, a remarkable indicator of future density. With a 332-day gestation and a flawless unassisted delivery, Manly Man made an unforgettable entrance. Manly Man is the third cria in Mirakel’s debut lineup and the second Reverse Appaloosa born in the same week-- something quite of of the ordinary. Confident and inquisitive, Manly Man carries a beautifully balanced frame, straight legs, and the same short muzzle, straight ears, and typey head style that all three Mirakel crias share. His newborn fleece already displays bright, well-defined bundled architecture and impressive density. Dam – Rare Gem Enchanted Girly Girl Girly Girl is a 6X banner-winning brown female known for her elite fleece and calm, gentle temperament. Judges have praised her as having some of the finest brown fleece they’ve evaluated. Now proven, she delivered her first cria entirely on her own and stepped effortlessly into motherhood. Despite not carrying the Appaloosa gene, she produced a patterned cria—adding depth and value to her production record. Sire – Mirakel (Appaloosa) Mirakel’s first three crias have exceeded our expectations: all are patterned, all are correct, and each displays outstanding newborn fleece character. Manly Man is Mirakel’s second Reverse Appaloosa from a non-Appaloosa dam—an exciting sign for Mirakel’s future in our rare-color program. Pattern & Fleece Manly Man expresses a striking Reverse Appaloosa pattern: sharply defined white spotting over a warm medium-to-light brown base. He shows heavy white across his tail and head, concentrated spotting over the rump, and white spotting throughout, and even a token black spot or two. His fleece is bright with bundled of curls from the get-go. What He Brings Manly Man blends rarity, structure, and early fleece promise. As Girly Girl’s first cria and part of Mirakel’s impressive debut trio, he represents the kind of unique, correct, beautifully colored offspring we strive to produce at Rare Gem Alpacas.

Handsome Zagato Son!
AOA# 36087600  DOB: 10/24/2020  (5 yrs)
Huacaya | Herdsire (Male) | Unproven | Light Fawn, Medium Fawn
Sire: Sunset Hills Zagato
Dam: Our Peruvian Niabi

This young male is an up and comer in the Rare Gem breeding program. We purchased his dam from the Alpaca Palace auction in Pennsylvania in 2019 when Cras-Z was "cooking in the oven". When born, Cras-Z had the bundles of curls and the "look" we get excited about. He has grown into a handsome body double of his daddy, Sunset Hills Zagato. Zagato was the 2019 Futurity Herdsire of the Year (dark) and has a proven track record of throwing the coloration of the dam while stamping the offspring with his superior fleece qualities. Cras-Z’s is a compact male with an advanced architecture fleece... brightly bundled and uniform with a high-amplitude crimp structure. Cras-Z's 2022 fleece was submitted to the Fall PNAA Innovative Fleece Assessment / Show. He placed 2nd out of 9 in a very competitive Grade 1, Medium Fawn category. Report is included under pictures... of special note, "Uniformity" across blanket = 15 out of 15! This uniformity extends out into Cras-Z's extremities. One of our favorite traits of Cras-Z is that he has an extremely clean apron and lower carriage and no halo. Cras-z has been color genotyped and is an ee a2a3 which is a genotype with dilute as well as two black alleles. This genotype carries a lot of variety in what it can produce. We are happy to discuss your goals and whether Cras-Z can stamp your female with his elite-fleece while producing the color you desire.

He carries no dilution and two black alleles— including a1 which produces beautiful blue black. Sea Senor will be an asset to a black and grey breeding program. Another exciting pairing for this male will be appaloosa's carrying a dilution gene. By pairing with such a female, offspring have the potential to be classic appaloosa and even harlequin appaloosa. Handsome Harlequin Male!
AOA#   DOB: 11/15/2021  (4 yrs)
Huacaya | Herdsire (Male) | Proven | Medium Fawn, Dark Silver Grey, True Black
Sire: Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia
Dam: Running Late's Peaches and Cream

Rare Gem Camouflage has grown into exactly the kind of male we hoped for when he was born: a striking Harlequin Appaloosa with strong fleece credentials, tremendous presence, and an increasingly exciting production record. Camouflage is the son of Vintage Cashmere U-Taupe-ia and Running Late’s Peaches and Cream, a female selected for her outstanding fleece traits, phenotype, pedigree, and expressed pattern. Peaches had already demonstrated her ability to produce Appaloosa pattern when bred to Apache Gentleman, producing Rare Gem Night Owl, a classic Appaloosa female later exported to Switzerland. When Peaches was paired with Harlequin Appaloosa Taupie, the result was Camouflage. Born November 15, 2021, Camouflage made an impression from the beginning with his eye-catching pattern, substantial fleece, and strong presence. As he has matured, he has become an easy and enthusiastic breeding male — and, more importantly, his offspring are now showing us what he can contribute. His first crias began arriving in late 2024, and we have been extremely pleased with the results. Camouflage is producing attractive, well-built offspring with exciting color and pattern expression. Among them is Rare Gem hAppy Down Under, his 2026 daughter out of proven leopard-producing female FDA Warrior’s Georgia, hAppy appeared relatively conservative at first glance, but cria shearing revealed Appaloosa spotting hidden across her belly — another fascinating example of how pattern can express itself in the next generation. For breeders working toward Appaloosa and Harlequin expression without sacrificing fleece quality or overall phenotype, Camouflage offers a compelling combination of pattern, pedigree, fleece, and now proven production. We are very excited to see what comes next from this special male. AOA# 36059225  DOB: 9/5/2022  (4 yrs)
Huacaya | Herdsire (Male) | Proven | Beige, Medium Fawn, Dark Fawn | 7/8 Peruvian
Sire: AspenAlpacas Highpoint
Dam: MaRS Dixie

Mirakel is now a proven herdsire, and his first four crias have exceeded every expectation. All are expressed Appaloosa—two Reverse Appaloosas, one Leopard Appaloosa, and one white with pale spotting—each displaying strong frames, typey head styles, straight legs, and exceptional newborn fleece. His debut results firmly place him as a highly promising male in our rare-color and Appaloosa breeding program. Mirakel carries elite fleece qualities, correct structure, balance, and a pleasing head style. His show career includes multiple top placements, highlighted by his outstanding win as: 2023 PNAA “Most Uniform in Grade – Grade 0” An impressive achievement for an Appaloosa competing against solid-colored animals at the finest grade level. We have followed MIrakel's dam for years as she is the closest appaloosa descendant to LF Del a Burl, the handsome appaloosa male that was exported to Germany. With his departure, these genetics were limited to just two females in the United States-- one of which is MaRs Dixie-- MIrakel's dam. Dixie is the only appaloosa descendant of daughter from LF del A Burl. In Germany, Burl went on to produce 50+ cria, the majority of which are appaloosa and/or patterned. Mirakel's grand-dam, Sugar Shoo, was a full Peruvian and a granddaughter of Auzengate, a Peruvian male, noted for throwing appaloosa cria. Mirakel's maternal side carries the Victor line and is stacked with champions, including Eastwind's Snowstorm. What He Is Producing ** Mirakel’s first four crias include: Rare Gem Dappled Daphne – Reverse Appaloosa (Dam: H2R Myrtle) Warm fawn base with soft white spotting, feminine presence, and a correct frame. **Rare Gem Mirakel’s Halo – Leopard Appaloosa (Dam: Raya Sunshine) Bright, expressive color, beautifully organized fleece, and crisp dark spotting. **Rare Gem Enchanted Manly Man – Reverse Appaloosa (Dam: Girly Girl) Sharply defined white spotting on a medium/light brown base, excellent density, and confident, balanced style. Consistency & Strengths ** Rare Gem Morning Bloom - White with pale spotting throughout blanket (Dam: Iris) Exceptional brightness, soft nearly-pink spotting, and beautifully organized fleece. Across all three crias, Mirakel is stamping: • typey heads and short muzzles • straight legs and balanced proportions • bright, well-bundled fleece • confidence and sweet temperament • expressive color—even from non-Appaloosa dams Program Contribution Mirakel is proving to be a sire who adds style, presence, quality, and rare color. With four outstanding patterned crias from four different females, he is off to a powerful start. We look forward to continuing his role in advancing our Appaloosa and rare-color breeding program.

Handsome Harlequin Male!
AOA# 363187773  DOB: 12/11/2024  (1 yr)
Huacaya | Jr. Herdsire (Male) | Unproven | Medium Fawn, Medium Rose Grey, True Black
Sire: Rare Gem Zagato's Cray-Z
Dam: ~Stone Pine Josie

Rare Gem Zensational is a young Harlequin male whose name truly fits. He represents the next chapter of our Appaloosa/Harlequin program—combining elite fleece traits with the unique, color-producing genetics we breed for. Zensational’s dam, Stone Pine Josie, is an exquisite Champion female who showed as a Roan—which sometimes happens with Harlequins. In one memorable lineup, she went neck-and-neck for Judge’s Choice. The judge ultimately selected the younger animal but offered glowing remarks about Josie’s conformation, density, and overall uniformity, saying what a tough decision it had been between the two. It was one of those exciting “almost history” moments for a Harlequin Appaloosa. Zensational is sired by Rare Gem Zagato’s Cray-Z, a son of the widely respected Sunset Hills Zagato (2019 Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year). This sire line is known for stamping exceptional fineness, brightness, and hand—qualities that Zensational is already expressing. Genotype: Ee a2a3 — the perfect combination for those breeding for Appaloosas and Harlequins! This genotype provides the double black alleles Harlequins thrive on, offering tremendous versatility across a range of base colors when paired thoughtfully. Early fleece notes: dense, bright, uniform, and soft—standout quality for a patterned youngster. Zensational also brings a confident, easy-to-handle temperament that makes him a joy to work with. He weighs 100 lbs. at just 10 months of age. If you’re building a color program that values both advanced fleece and true Harlequin/Appaloosa potential, this young male is one to watch. Zen is proudly co-owned with Stone Pine Farm.

Sire: Rare Gem Dunkin' (Appaloosa-Possibly Homozygous)
Dam: Snowmass Promise of Hope (Champion Offspring)

Meet Rare Gem Glazed and Amused—the young male with a name as fun as his future is promising. You might think “Glazed” is a playful nod to his sire, Rare Gem Dunkin’—and you'd be right. But it’s also a fitting description for his ultra-bright fleece, which practically glows in the pasture sun. Add in his exceptional conformation, perfect head style, and a fleece that’s already bundling with curls and crimp—and you've got a sweet recipe for a future herdsire. Even though Glazed missed the memo on outwardly expressing his appaloosa potential, make no mistake—this boy comes from a color-loaded pedigree with a 50% shot at producing spots. But what he did inherit is just as special—and possibly even more rare. * Genetics That Stack Up * Dam: Snowmass Promise of Hope -From the world-class Snowmass program -Producer of 2020 Parade of Champions Lot 3 Yearling Pick—Snowmass Luminous Hope-- exported to the Switzerland -Producer of 6X champion—Rare Gem Girly Girl -A female whose production record speaks volumes about what she passes on: outstanding fiber, conformation, and the “it” factor Sire: Rare Gem Dunkin' -Spotted appaloosa rockstar standing at stud in Ohio -Out of Krispy Kream-- proven Appaloosa female from the Black Epic line -Son of RG XXXtreme Spots-- Appaloosa herdsire from the NGG Lional line ** The Wrinkle Factor ** Now let’s talk about something really rare. Glazed and Amused has a feature that stops seasoned breeders in their tracks—full-body skin wrinkling. You read that right. Neck, torso, shoulders—wrinkles everywhere. This trait is extremely uncommon and highly desirable. Why? Because dense wrinkles mean his skin doesn't need to stretch much as he grows. That preserves fiber follicles per square inch, resulting in increased density—a key trait for maximizing fleece yield. It’s a trait seen in very few. We believe Glazed and Amused is cut from that same rare cloth… or rather, wrapped in it. *** Key Highlights *** Conformation: Spot-on. Strong frame, balanced proportions, and a head style you want to replicate. Fleece: Bright as a glaze with developing bundles of curls and crimp. Density: His wrinkles don’t lie—this boy is packing serious fleece potential. Color Potential: While he doesn’t show spots, he could pass them on. Disposition: Easygoing, alert, and all charm—he lives up to the “amused” in his name.

His fleece is already showing signs of excellence—uniform, bright, and buttery to the touch, with expressive Appaloosa patterning that promises to evolve beautifully with age. Pixel is the product of two exceptional Appaloosa parents, bred with intention and depth of pedigree: ** Sire: Rare Gem X-Man, who now resides at Roaring Acres Farm after being sold at the 2024 Parade of Champions. ** Dam: Stone Pine Jolene, a banner-winning, well-expressed, spotted female with champion status and fleece to match. Beyond the pasture, Pixel is also set to take on a starring role in our Kids4Kids Book Series—a story collection told through the eyes of our baby alpacas, designed to inspire young readers while celebrating the unique personalities in our herd. Pixel’s curious, observant nature and whimsical name make him the perfect “resident artist” of the series. ** Key Highlights ** • Co-owned with Stone Pine Farm, in a collaborative effort to preserve and promote quality Appaloosa genetics • Genetics include both Harlequin and Leopard Appaloosa lines • Strong potential as a future herdsire in spotted programs or boutique fleece-focused herds

Harley carries unique marbling rather than the traditional Appaloosa expression. First Kiss is also the first-ever offspring of FDA Rock n Roll, a male selected for his elite fleece, gorgeous phenotype, and his own marbled patterning that perfectly complemented Harley. The result is First Kiss—uniquely patterned, fine-fleeced, and full of potential. ** Why She’s Special ** This girl is a genetic and visual standout. Whether you’re aiming to enhance a spotted or harlequin breeding program—or simply looking to add a female with lasting fiber quality and eye-catching pattern—First Kiss brings something truly out of the ordinary.

Meet Rare Gem Sizlin’s On Fya, a rising star in the Rare Gem Appaloosa program, whose pedigree and potential make her one to watch. Fya is an Ee Aa female carrying one black allele and one dilution allele—an ideal combination for producing expressive Appaloosa or Harlequin offspring when paired strategically. While her spotting is minimal, the presence of those telltale marks confirms her as a genotypic Appaloosa, and her dam’s exceptional production record further solidifies her value—Olivia has thrown either Appaloosa or Harlequin 100% of the time. Fya’s sire, Snowmass Sizlin Legacy XX, is a 3X multi-champion known for his stunning fleece and uniquely colored spot pattern that spans a wide range of shades. He brings not only elite fleece traits to the table but also impressive genetic diversity and expressive color potential. His pedigree includes Snowmass Everlasting Paramount and Snowmass Royal Bronze—both known for exceptional fineness, uniformity, and lasting structure. Her dam, Stone Pine Olivia, is a daughter of Vintage Cashmere's U-Taupe-ia and contributes a powerful dose of Harlequin and Appaloosa genetics. Currently maturing with excellent conformation and a strong frame, Fya is showing all the right indicators of a future foundation female. As she approaches breeding age, we are carefully planning her first pairing to continue the Rare Gem legacy of elite fleece meets unique color expression. Stay tuned—this little ember is just getting started.

Refined Density, Spotted Mystery

Huacaya | Open (Female) | Proven | Medium Fawn, Dark Fawn
Sire: Snowmass Best Bet

Service Sire: Accoyo America Conjurer

Snowmass Fantasy In Lace's fleece is a stunning study in uniformity, brightness, and density—wrapped in a dark fawn canvas punctuated by spots ranging from light to dark. Her coloration hints at hidden color genetics yet to be fully understood, adding an element of intrigue to an already impressive female. 2026 First Cria Update On June 9, 2026, Fantasy welcomed her first cria, Rare Gem Fantasy Unlaced "Finley", a beautiful dark fawn female sired by Accoyo America Conjurer. Born unassisted, Finley arrived wrapped in an extraordinary blanket of dense, highly organized fleece that immediately caught everyone's attention. Fantasy has proven herself to be an attentive, protective first-time mother with outstanding maternal instincts. This breeding represented something we were especially excited to explore: the thoughtful blending of two of the alpaca industry's most influential breeding programs. Fantasy contributes the depth, consistency, and elite fleece characteristics of the renowned Snowmass program, while Conjurer contributes the carefully cultivated Accoyo America genetics. Together, Finley represents the next chapter in a breeding vision built upon generations of purposeful selection. A heartfelt thank you to Lynn Edens for the foresight and dedication making this thoughtful breeding possible. We were honored to welcome Fantasy In Lace into our foundation herd through the 2025 Parade of Champions auction—an event I look forward to each year. The depth of genetics represented at Parade of Champions has been instrumental in shaping the Rare Gem breeding program, and Fantasy embodies exactly the type of female we strive to add to our herd. With her exceptional fleece, beautifully rooted pedigree, and structural correctness, she represents the kind of foundation female capable of influencing generations to come. For her maiden breeding, we selected the wildly intriguing Accoyo America Conjurer. Conjurer is a proven sire of spotted offspring, although the exact source of his pattern-producing genetics remains something of a mystery. Beyond the possibility of pattern, this pairing was thoughtfully designed to combine two legendary breeding programs—Snowmass and Accoyo America—in pursuit of elite fleece traits including lingering fineness, high-frequency crimp, exceptional density, and lasting uniformity. Fantasy possesses a robust, well-balanced frame that supports longevity and consistent production. Combined with her elite pedigree, exceptional fleece, and an outstanding first cria, she has already validated our confidence in her as a cornerstone foundation female. We look forward to the generations ahead.

Future Foundation with Elite Fleece
 DOB: 6/14/2025  (1 yr)
Huacaya | Open (Female) | Unproven | White
Sire: Crescent Moon's Buster
Dam: Amber Autumn KatyLynn

Crescent Moon’s Beatriz represents the kind of female that quietly strengthens a program from the inside out. I was delighted to purchase her at the 2026 Futurity Auction and add her to Rare Gem as a future foundation female. She is an elegant young white female with a pleasing presence, a sweet temperament, and the genetic depth to make her especially meaningful as a long-term addition. Her pedigree blends the strength of Crescent Moon’s Buster and Amber Autumn KatyLynn, combining sought-after Crescent Moon, Snowmass, and Accoyo lines. What makes Beatriz particularly exciting to me is the fleece potential behind her. Her parents’ 2025 EPDs show remarkable strength, ranking in the top 1% in five of eight categories between them, including elite standing for fineness traits. With both parents carrying outstanding AFD values, I am hopeful that Beatriz will contribute the kind of fine, organized, uniform fleece that helps build lasting quality into a breeding program. Beatriz has already begun building her own record in the ring, earning 1st and 2nd place at the 2026 TxOLAN shows and placing 4th in a large, highly competitive white class at the 2026 Futurity. Those early results—particularly in such a deep Futurity class—only add to the promise she carries. She will remain at Rare Gem as a foundation female and, when mature, will be thoughtfully integrated into my Appaloosa breeding program. I am especially excited about the potential to pair her elite white fleece background with carefully selected spotted genetics, with the goal of advancing fineness, uniformity, and overall fleece quality in future generations. A sincere thank you to Crescent Moon Ranch for producing such a lovely female and for creating the opportunity to bring her into my herd. I am truly excited to watch Beatriz grow and to see the role this special young gem will play in the Rare Gem program.

Tic Tac is the product of two top producing harlequins from the Kuska herd. She carries legendary appaloosa / harlequin genetics on both sides of her pedigree making it very possible that she is homozygous for the appy / harlequin trait. She has had three offspring-- all out of non-appaloosa / harlequin gene carriers. All three of Tic Tac's offspring have expressed-- one as classic appaloosa and two as lovely harlequin appaloosas. Tic Tac's blanket is spotless and her coloration is exquisite. She has spots on her belly and face... a classical harlequin pattern expression. Tic Tac is a large girl. She pushes 200 lbs when not pregnant. Although large, she is easy to handle and the most attentive mother. She has tons of milk and grows them big and healthy. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 2019: Tic Tac’s first offspring arrived— a beautiful appaloosa out of white male and 2X Judges Choice winner, Springtoo Skyfall. The cria has super bright, dense and bundles of zipper crimp fleece. Congratulations to Plateau Breeze Ranch on their purchase of this beautiful cria! 2021: Tic Tac’s second offspring arrived— a beautiful harlequin appaloosa— Rare Gem Just Smitten. He was born a big healthy 20 lbs. baby. His primary color is fawn which will develop into a lovely grey coloration. His legs, belly, muzzle and tail are full of well-defined black spots. After just a 330 day gestation, he was up, nursing and posing within minutes. This boy has presence galore! He thinks he is "all that" and I am just smitten with him. Will be repeating this breeding. 2022: Tic Tac's third cria has arrived... and she has done it again! Another beautiful harlequin appaloosa-- this time a female. Tic Tac gave birth to a big-bone, color-FULL 16 lbs. female on day 337 (11/19/22). As this is Tic Tac's third appaloosa in a row, we have named her Tic Tac's Hat Trick. 2024: We loved the result of Tic Tac's last two offspring sired by champion FTAF's Privateer, but he was purchased by Mary Miller of Aspen Alpacas. So... for Tic Tac's 2023 breeding, we paired her with our handsome male, Sriracha of Linden Hills. Sriracha is a beautifully conformed male with a very fine, elite fleece. Previously, Tic Tac was paired with Sriracha's sire, Springtoo Skyfall and produced a lovely appaloosa female. 2024 Update: It with a sad heart that we lost service sire, Sriracha of Linden Hills to a bowel torsion. Sriracha was such a sweet and beautiful, elite-fleeced alpaca. This breeding to Tic Tac will be our only offspring produced by Sriracha here on this farm... and on September 4, 2024... he and Tic Tac delivered! We welcome a beautiful, appaloosa female-- Rare Gem Cholula. Cholula has bundled of curls from day 1 and the sweet, calm disposition of both her parents. Thank you dear Sriracha for your legacy cria.

Accoyo America Jason daughter
AOA# 32085877  DOB: 10/15/2010  (15 yrs)
Huacaya | Bred (Female) | Proven | Medium Fawn
Sire: Accoyo America Jason
Dam: Accoyo America Shastina
Service Sire: Rare Gem Divine X

Confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X for a September 2026 cria Shasta Daisy is one of those truly special females who quietly wins your heart. A gentle soul with a big, soft presence, she is adored by everyone who spends time with her. Daisy comes from exceptional lineage on both sides. Her sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a 6X color champion co-owned by Amber Autumn Alpacas and Little Creek Farm, LLC. Jason is the result of a highly successful pairing of Camilio full siblings, and he made history by winning the AOBA Nationals brown male championship three years in a row. Known for his deep red-brown fleece, he passed along extraordinary crimp, character, and density—traits that have made him a prepotent sire producing champions across fawn, brown, and even competitive white classes. Her dam, Accoyo America Shastina, was a lovely white female from Gregory Mecklam’s program. Although Shastina had a short show career, she earned top placements in elite white classes, including a 1st place at The Futurity, before her unexpected passing at just six years old. Daisy came to Rare Gem Alpacas in February 2021 as a mature, 10-year-old female with three beautiful offspring already to her credit. Since joining the herd, she has continued to be an absolute delight. She gifted us one handsome cria and has cemented herself as one of the farm’s most nurturing and reliable maternal figures. One of Daisy’s most memorable moments came two years ago when a cria on the farm wasn’t receiving enough milk from her dam. Without hesitation—and without being bred—Daisy began producing milk and stepped in to help raise the little one. This instinctive kindness is simply who she is. Even today, she gravitates to the nursery paddock, “adopting” babies, watching over them, and offering her signature calm, loving presence. And just when we thought Daisy was ready for retirement from breeding… she surprised us! Daisy is now confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X, a pairing we are thrilled about. We look forward to welcoming her September 2026 cria—one that promises to carry forward her outstanding genetics and her incomparable heart. Daisy is the kind of alpaca every farm longs for: dependable, affectionate, and endlessly nurturing. A true treasure of the Rare Gem herd.

Miss Toffelees is the first offspring sired by Snow Diamond Private Reserve, one of Defiance's exceptional sons. MissToffelees' dam is TAG Miss Monday, a lovely female from champion parents and whose great great sire is Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Miss Monday contributes a dense and high-amplitude fleece to her offspring. Miss Toffelees is fine, but what we love about her is her consistency, not only within the staple, but also throughout her entire blanket and even a bit beyond. That consistency, together with her fineness is going to keep her fleece ultra-soft for a long time. In the meantime, we take pleasure in looking at this fleece with its brightness and beautiful structure. Miss Toffelees was first offered for sale at the 2020 Futurity Auction. It is with great excitement that we add her to the Rare Gem foundation herd.

Uber bright fleeced offspring!
AOA# 35098867  DOB: 10/5/2016  (9 yrs)
Huacaya | Bred (Female) | Proven | Medium Fawn
Sire: Snowmass Kahuna's Luminator
Dam: Snowmass Velvet Hope

A daughter of Snowmass Kahuna’s Luminator and Snowmass Velvet Hope, she carries forward elite Snowmass genetics with lasting fineness, uniformity, and structural balance and offspring with some of the brightest fleece we have ever seen. But it is her production record — and her heart — that define her. Hope has consistently produced excellence: • 2020 – Snowmass Luminous Hope (2020 Parade of Champions - Lot 3 - Best of Snowmass Females, Exported to Switzerland) • 2023 – Rare Gem Enchanted Girly Girl (6x Banner Winner) • 2025 – Rare Gem Glazed & Amused (Appaloosa Sired) Show debut Spring 2026 • 2026 – Rare Gem Liv with Hope (Harlequin Appaloosa Sired) At nine years of age, Hope faced a serious late-gestation metabolic crisis. Through careful management and her own quiet determination, she recovered — going on to deliver a healthy 11-pound female cria who has not stopped thriving since the moment she hit the ground. Hope is an exceptional mother. Attentive, steady, and deeply maternal, she has abundant milk production and calm instincts. Her newborn is gaining between 0.5–1.0 pound per day in her first week — a testament to Hope’s strength as a dam. Her genotype (EeAA) continues to make her a powerful foundation female in both solid and patterned breeding programs, and her offspring consistently demonstrate presence, quality, and show potential.

Dam: FDA Skywalker’s Champagne Super Nova
Service Sire: Chimbote of MaRS (Appaloosa)

Georgia is being offered in an exceptional three-in-one package for a breeder looking to add proven Appaloosa production and tremendous pattern potential to their program. When paired with Chimbote, a moderately expressed Appaloosa male, Georgia produced Rare Gem Thankful Eve, a spectacular nose-to-toes leopard Appaloosa female who was consigned and sold through the 2025 Education with a Destination auction. We were so pleased with that pairing that we repeated the breeding. Georgia is currently bred back to Chimbote, giving her new owner another opportunity from the same combination that produced Thankful Eve. At Georgia’s side is her beautiful 2026 daughter, Rare Gem hAppy Down Under, sired by our Harlequin Appaloosa male, Rare Gem Camouflage. And her name comes with a little story. At first glance, hAppy appears much more conservatively marked than her leopard-patterned sister. But when she was sheared, a wonderful surprise was revealed: her Appaloosa spotting was hiding “down under,” across her belly. Hence the name hAppy Down Under. Her unusual expression makes her especially interesting. While her pattern may not announce itself from across the pasture, the spotting revealed beneath her fleece offers another intriguing example of Georgia’s ability to produce pattern when bred into Appaloosa genetics. This package includes: Georgia — proven producer with an outstanding pedigree and demonstrated Appaloosa production Rare Gem Appy Down Under — her 2026 female cria by Rare Gem Camouflage Georgia’s current breeding to Chimbote — repeating the pairing that produced Thankful Eve Georgia is a substantial, robust female and an exceptionally easy keeper. She has excellent maternal instincts, strong milk production, and has consistently delivered unassisted. She can be a little shy initially, but once on lead her gentle, curious nature comes through. Bred by Flying Dutchman Alpacas, Georgia carries an exceptional pedigree, with Rembrandt by El Nino on the top side and Skywalker by Poseidon of FDA on the bottom. Her strong frame, color genetics, pedigree, and most importantly her proven ability to produce exciting patterned offspring make Georgia especially compelling for an Appaloosa, Harlequin, or color-focused breeding program. This $20,000 three-in-one package offers a proven producer, an intriguing young Appaloosa female, and a pregnancy representing a successful repeat pairing. Owned by Flying Dutchman Alpacas.

Service Sire: Crescent Moon’s Abel

This lovely appaloosa female was born on Thanksgiving day 2022. Her dam, Punkin' Pie, was our 2020 Thanksgiving baby on Thanksgiving Day, 2022. So, no doubt, this is how she thought is was supposed to be done! Born 342 days gestation, Cranberry Sass "Sassy" looks very similar to her dam at birth. Both dam and sire are appaloosa making Sassy very possibly homozygous for the appaloosa gene(s). Sassy's dam gets her appaloosa genetics from My Peruvian Zephyrus as well as a double dose of SA Peruvian Black Epic. Sire, Rare Gem X Man, is an appaloosa descendent of NGG Lional. One of the many qualities that we love about this pedigree is the lasting fineness on both sides of the pedigree. By clicking on the parental links above, you will find more information. Sassy 's dam is the maternal sister to the wildly-expressed appaloosa Dottie Biscotti and the handsome appaloosa Rare Gem Dunkin' (Born on National Donut Day!) and Sweet Eclaire. All three are out of Sassy's grand-dam, Krispy Kream. Sweet Eclaire has a lovely white daughter named Coconut Kream... and her first son is named Cannoli. Not only are they all sweet... they are uniform and fine. We look forward to seeing how Cranberry Sass develops as she matures.

From her dam, Snowmass Promise of Hope, she carries correctness, balance, and an even temperament. Her fleece statistics—AFD 15.9 and SD 3.3—support her elite status. Proven Appaloosa Producer Despite not carrying the Appaloosa gene, Girly Girl produced a striking Reverse Appaloosa cria when paired with Mirakel. Manly Man shows outstanding density, correct structure, a typey head, and balanced proportions—an excellent reflection of both parents. Her genotype (EeAa1) contributes depth and warmth to his base color. Temperament & Maternal Traits Girly Girl is gentle, steady, and easy to work around—qualities she now passes to her cria. She stepped into motherhood naturally and confidently. Program Contribution With elite fleece, strong conformation, a remarkable temperament, and now proven production, Girly Girl has secured her place as a foundation female. When timing allows, she will be responsibly re-bred to Mirakel for a repeat of this outstanding pairing.

Purchased at the 2024 Parade of Champions auction... for a short time only.. this girl is on the sales list. Contact us now as if interested and you can pick her maiden breeding to any Rare Gem herdsire. This is a lovely female that was on our show crew this year. We are happy to keep her, but making some tough decision regarding sales. If not purchased by the end of breeding season, we will be keeping her for at least another year. Euphoria is an excellent representation of her elite sire, Snowmass Divine Majesty. Snowmass Divine Majesty is the son of Snowmass Enchanted. This sire line is known for its showy, heavy boned phenotypes and frequent dark color with excellent maintenance of fineness and uniformity of micron through adulthood. In fact, Divine Majesty’s fifth fleece posted grid histogram results including an AFD of 16.8, SD of 3.3 and just 0.2%>30 which is phenomenal!. He is a multiple champion and Judges Choice-winning fawn who has demonstrated the ability to produce champion offspring in turn. His color genotype (Ee AA) which means he can produce crias in solid colors from white to brown, and we have found his sire’s line to be a good source of modern greys as well. When looking at Euphoria, you immediately notice her solid frame and presence. She is packing on the fleece-- her skirted cria fleece weighed in at her first show at 3.5 lbs. Judges comments "Lovely uniform & consistent fleece!" She placed 1st of six in the Light Brown Juvenile Female class. Update: Euphoria has been confirmed via ultra-sound and pregnant by Appaloosa herdsire-- Winchester. Watch for something out of the ordinary Fall 2026!

Healing Heart is a compact, minimally spotted appaloosa with a pedigree rich in appaloosas and harlequins. Her genotype, EeAA, results in a subtle expression of her pattern, but what she lacks in flash, she more than makes up for with her exquisite fleece and delightful personality. A sweet and inquisitive “barn supervisor,” Healing Heart is always on the move, keeping a watchful eye on all the day’s activities. Sire: Apache Gentleman Healing Heart’s sire, Apache Gentleman, is a strikingly expressed harlequin appaloosa renowned for his ability to pass on his exceptional traits. With over 30 registered offspring, the majority of which are appaloosas or harlequins, Apache is a proven producer of both beauty and quality. Among his champion offspring are 3X Champion Apache Gentlemen’s Alchesay and Stone Pine Jolene, the 2023 AOA National Multi Reserve Champion. Apache has also earned Get of Sire accolades, including a 1st and 2nd place, thanks to his patterned and high-performing progeny. His pedigree is a treasure trove of vibrantly expressed appaloosas and harlequins. (Photos available to the right and on Apache’s page.) Dam: Jessica Do Right Healing Heart’s dam, Jessica Do Right, brings another layer of excellence to her genetics. Jessica is the daughter of Springtoo Skyfall, a 2X Judge’s Choice and 5X banner winner known for his stunning fleece characteristics, including exceptional brightness, crimp, and hand. He is also the recipient of multiple Spirit of the Industry awards. Healing Heart’s maternal grand-dam adds further distinction as a harlequin appaloosa and Bisturi granddaughter. Development & Future Healing Heart had a slow start as a juvenile and wasn’t shown due to her smaller size, but she has matured into a compact, well-proportioned young female. With her stellar genetics, she holds tremendous potential as a foundation female for appaloosa and harlequin breeding programs... we enjoy her sweet disposition on the farm.

AOA# 36368242  DOB: 7/29/2024  (2 yrs)
Huacaya | Bred (Female) | Unproven | Light Brown
Sire: Crescent Moon's Tarcisius
Dam: Crescent Moon's Divine Inspiration
Service Sire: Crescent Moon's Humphrey

Crescent Moon’s Imelda is an exciting young foundation female that we were thrilled to add to the Rare Gem Alpacas program through the 2026 Education with a Destination auction. From the moment we saw her, Imelda stood out for her phenotype, presence, and especially her striking head style. She is a beautifully balanced, feminine female with the kind of look that immediately draws your attention, while also offering the pedigree and fleece qualities we are continually seeking to strengthen within our foundation herd. Imelda is sired by Crescent Moon’s Tarcisius and out of the exceptional Crescent Moon’s Divine Inspiration. Tarcisius is an impressive male with tremendous presence, coverage, bone, and substance, while Divine Inspiration is an accomplished female with an outstanding show record of her own. Together, they represent two equally exciting sides of a pedigree filled with proven Crescent Moon and Snowmass genetics. Imelda's fleece data further supports what we admired in person. Imelda’s first fleece tested at an impressive 17.2 microns with a 98.8% comfort factor. As she matured, she maintained excellent fineness at 18.9 microns, while improving in uniformity with a lower SD and CV. We are excited about the combination of fineness, consistency, phenotype, and pedigree she brings to our program. Imelda is currently bred to Crescent Moon’s Humphrey and is due in May 2027. This pairing makes her addition especially exciting to us, as we look forward to welcoming not only Imelda as a new foundation female, but also the highly anticipated Humphrey offspring she is carrying. Following this breeding, we anticipate incorporating Imelda into our Appaloosa breeding program, where her phenotype, pedigree, fleece quality, and other characteristics make her an exciting candidate for the next phase of our breeding goals.
