Born as the very first offspring of her harlequin sire, Apache’s Free Spirit, and out of our multi-champion dam Irish Meadows Freya, Rare Gem Kaya Sunchaser arrived carrying strong genetics and a bright future. Though she comes from Harlequin Appaloosa heritage, Kaya expressed as a beautiful solid medium fawn — her fleece made an immediate statement. Dense, bright, and tightly bundled from the start, her fleece shows the kind of quality we value in our program.
From her earliest days, Kaya has been a blur of motion around the farm. Quick-footed, curious, and always on the go, she’s one of the hardest crias to capture on camera — usually racing past just as the shutter clicks. But in the moments she stands still, her balance, expression, and fleece quality speak clearly to the strength of her lineage.
