Tic Tac is the product of two top producing harlequins from the Kuska herd. She carries legendary appaloosa / harlequin genetics on both sides of her pedigree making it very possible that she is homozygous for the appy / harlequin trait. She has had three offspring-- all out of non-appaloosa / harlequin gene carriers. All three of Tic Tac's offspring have expressed-- one as classic appaloosa and two as lovely harlequin appaloosas. Tic Tac's blanket is spotless and her coloration is exquisite. She has spots on her belly and face... a classical harlequin pattern expression. Tic Tac is a large girl. She pushes 200 lbs when not pregnant. Although large, she is easy to handle and the most attentive mother. He was born a big healthy 20 lbs. baby. His primary color is fawn which will develop into a lovely grey coloration. His legs, belly, muzzle and tail are full of well-defined black spots. After just a 330 day gestation, he was up, nursing and posing within minutes. This boy has presence galore! He thinks he is "all that" and I am just smitten with him. Will be repeating this breeding. 2022: Tic Tac's third cria has arrived... and she has done it again! Another beautiful harlequin appaloosa-- this time a female. Tic Tac gave birth to a big-bone, color-FULL 16 lbs. female on day 337 (11/19/22). As this is Tic Tac's third appaloosa in a row, we have named her Tic Tac's Hat Trick. 2024: We loved the result of Tic Tac's last two offspring sired by champion FTAF's Privateer, but he was purchased by Mary Miller of Aspen Alpacas. So... for Tic Tac's 2023 breeding, we paired her with our handsome male, Sriracha of Linden Hills. Sriracha is a beautifully conformed male with a very fine, elite fleece. Previously, Tic Tac was paired with Sriracha's sire, Springtoo Skyfall and produced a lovely appaloosa female. 2024 Update: It with a sad heart that we lost service sire, Sriracha of Linden Hills to a bowel torsion. Sriracha was such a sweet and beautiful, elite-fleeced alpaca. This breeding to Tic Tac will be our only offspring produced by Sriracha here on this farm... and on September 4, 2024... he and Tic Tac delivered! We welcome a beautiful, appaloosa female-- Rare Gem Cholula. Cholula has bundled of curls from day 1 and the sweet, calm disposition of both her parents. Confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X for a September 2026 cria Shasta Daisy is one of those truly special females who quietly wins your heart. A gentle soul with a big, soft presence, she is adored by everyone who spends time with her. Daisy comes from exceptional lineage on both sides. Her sire, Accoyo America Jason, is a 6X color champion co-owned by Amber Autumn Alpacas and Little Creek Farm, LLC. Jason is the result of a highly successful pairing of Camilio full siblings, and he made history by winning the AOBA Nationals brown male championship three years in a row. Known for his deep red-brown fleece, he passed along extraordinary crimp, character, and density—traits that have made him a prepotent sire producing champions across fawn, brown, and even competitive white classes. Her dam, Accoyo America Shastina, was a lovely white female from Gregory Mecklam’s program. Although Shastina had a short show career, she earned top placements in elite white classes, including a 1st place at The Futurity, before her unexpected passing at just six years old. Daisy came to Rare Gem Alpacas in February 2021 as a mature, 10-year-old female with three beautiful offspring already to her credit. Since joining the herd, she has continued to be an absolute delight. She gifted us one handsome cria and has cemented herself as one of the farm’s most nurturing and reliable maternal figures. One of Daisy’s most memorable moments came two years ago when a cria on the farm wasn’t receiving enough milk from her dam. Without hesitation—and without being bred—Daisy began producing milk and stepped in to help raise the little one. This instinctive kindness is simply who she is. Even today, she gravitates to the nursery paddock, “adopting” babies, watching over them, and offering her signature calm, loving presence. And just when we thought Daisy was ready for retirement from breeding… she surprised us! Daisy is now confirmed pregnant to Rare Gem Divine X, a pairing we are thrilled about. Summer Shandy gave birth on April 4, 2025, to a colorFULL handsome harlequin appaloosa male, Rare Gem Chunky Monkey, sired by our renowned harlequin herdsire, Rare Gem Camouflage. His name is inspired by his substantial bone structure and the colorful ice cream, Chunky Monkey. This young male is a Camo mini me and he was up, walking, and nursing within minutes. Shandy delivered on time at 341 days. The delivery was textbook perfect and unassisted, showcasing her ease of birthing. Shandy is a nurturing mother with great maternal instincts. Summer Shandy is a multi blue ribbon winner and the daughter of Snowmass Silent Legend—co-owned by Alpaca Palace and Stachowski Alpacas. Silent Legend is a 9X champion and son of the legendary Snowmass Elite Legend, Herdsire of the Year for three consecutive years. Elite Legend is recognized as one of the most elite-fleeced Quechua sons to grace breeding programs in the United States. Silent Legend brings color into the Elite Legend genetic line through his dam, Snowmass Silent Whisper, whose lineage includes Snowmass Nova and 6Peruvian Silent Night, as well as Accoyo Legacy and Chaccu. This blend of genetics has produced a soft, light fawn alpaca with exceptional fineness and density. Silent Legend has proven himself with 83 registered offspring. Miss Toffelees is the first offspring sired by Snow Diamond Private Reserve, one of Defiance's exceptional sons. MissToffelees' dam is TAG Miss Monday, a lovely female from champion parents and whose great great sire is Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Miss Monday contributes a dense and high-amplitude fleece to her offspring. Miss Toffelees is fine, but what we love about her is her consistency, not only within the staple, but also throughout her entire blanket and even a bit beyond. That consistency, together with her fineness is going to keep her fleece ultra-soft for a long time. In the meantime, we take pleasure in looking at this fleece with its brightness and beautiful structure. Miss Toffelees was first offered for sale at the 2020 Futurity Auction. It is with great excitement that we add her to the Rare Gem foundation herd.

Mr. Spotalicous is visiting from Mule Train Alpacas in Montana and he is being breed to a very special handful of girls. This pairing can produce harlequin and appaloosa offspring. No matter the color / pattern the offspring is bound to be something special as both parents have stunning phenotypes and exceptional fleece. Ambrosia is a stunning young foundation female. She has a solid frame that is well balanced and covered with a uniform medium fawn fleece. Ambrosia maintains her consistent character and architecture from skin to tips and from shoulder to rump. Since arriving she delivered a handsome light fawn male-- Rare Gem Boss Mead, sired by the 2021 AOA National Fleece Champion-- 5C's Captain Cognac. Captain Cognac is a stunning brown male from Carol Howard's - 5C program. Offspring, Boss Mead, has a stunning, brilliantly bright, dense fleece. Ambrosia is out of two CCNF parents-- 5X Judges Choice / 14X champion CCNF Elixir and 4X Champion CCNF Magisteria. Ambrosia likes to keep us waiting for her cria-- first offspring arrived @ 366 days! Freya is an elite-fleeced 3X champion daughter of Irish Meadows' Elite Max co-owned by Irish Meadows and Cas-Cad-Nac Farms. Elite Max is known for his very rare Merino type fleece and his illustrious show career which includes 28 championships including AOA National Supreme Champion Light Male and 9 Judges Choice Awards. At first glance, hAppy appears much more conservatively marked than her leopard-patterned sister. But when she was sheared, a wonderful surprise was revealed: her Appaloosa spotting was hiding “down under,” across her belly. Hence the name hAppy Down Under. Her unusual expression makes her especially interesting. While her pattern may not announce itself from across the pasture, the spotting revealed beneath her fleece offers another intriguing example of Georgia’s ability to produce pattern when bred into Appaloosa genetics. This lovely appaloosa female was born on Thanksgiving day 2022. Her dam, Punkin' Pie, was our 2020 Thanksgiving baby on Thanksgiving Day, 2022. So, no doubt, this is how she thought is was supposed to be done! Born 342 days gestation, Cranberry Sass "Sassy" looks very similar to her dam at birth. Both dam and sire are appaloosa making Sassy very possibly homozygous for the appaloosa gene(s). Sassy's dam gets her appaloosa genetics from My Peruvian Zephyrus as well as a double dose of SA Peruvian Black Epic. Sire, Rare Gem X Man, is an appaloosa descendent of NGG Lional. Sassy 's dam is the maternal sister to the wildly-expressed appaloosa Dottie Biscotti and the handsome appaloosa Rare Gem Dunkin' (Born on National Donut Day!) and Sweet Eclaire. All three are out of Sassy's grand-dam, Krispy Kream. Sweet Eclaire has a lovely white daughter named Coconut Kream... and her first son is named Cannoli. Jolene is a typey, well-expressed appaloosa female with curb appeal galore. She is the daughter of 4X banner winner, Crescent Moon's Isidora (a Shiftin Gears daughter) and the wildly expressive harlequin appaloosa, Apache Gentleman. Jolene's sire-- Apache Gentleman has over 30 registered offspring of which the majority are either appaloosa or harlequin. Both of Jolene's parents are the producers of champion offspring. Apache has a number of champion offspring including 3X champion Apache Gentlemen's Alchesay. Josie is the most recent of his Champion offspring to show up in the show ring. Josie's dam, Derwydd Manchu's Suyana, brings elite fleece and a classy phenotype to the pairing. Suyana is 5/8 Accoyo and a 5-time banner winner. Suyana's sire, Derwydd El Nino's Accoyo Manchu is a full Accoyo and 8-time champion. She color checked and showed as rose grey in both shows taking 1st place in her classes and going on to be award Grey Color Champion at the Gold Country Gathering Show and Reserve Grey Color Champion at the California Classic the following day. Girly Girl is now a proven dam, and her first cria has confirmed her value as both a show female and a production female. On November 29, 2025, she delivered a beautifully expressive Reverse Appaloosa male—Rare Gem Enchanted Manly Man—entirely unassisted. From the moment he stood, she has been a calm, attentive, and confident mother, requiring no intervention. Girly Girl completed the 2024 show season with six championship banners and 12 blue ribbons. Judges consistently praised her elite brown fleece, fineness, uniformity, and character. Judge Stephanie Glyptis noted that Girly Girl may have had the finest brown fleece she had ever judged—a remarkable compliment that reflects her quality. Heritage From her sire, Snowmass Enchanted Wave, Girly Girl inherits fineness, brightness, and uniformity. From her dam, Snowmass Promise of Hope, she carries correctness, balance, and an even temperament. Her fleece statistics—AFD 15.9 and SD 3.3—support her elite status. Contact us now as if interested and you can pick her maiden breeding to any Rare Gem herdsire. This is a lovely female that was on our show crew this year. We are happy to keep her, but making some tough decision regarding sales. If not purchased by the end of breeding season, we will be keeping her for at least another year. Euphoria is an excellent representation of her elite sire, Snowmass Divine Majesty. Snowmass Divine Majesty is the son of Snowmass Enchanted. This sire line is known for its showy, heavy boned phenotypes and frequent dark color with excellent maintenance of fineness and uniformity of micron through adulthood. In fact, Divine Majesty’s fifth fleece posted grid histogram results including an AFD of 16.8, SD of 3.3 and just 0.2%>30 which is phenomenal!. He is a multiple champion and Judges Choice-winning fawn who has demonstrated the ability to produce champion offspring in turn. His color genotype (Ee AA) which means he can produce crias in solid colors from white to brown, and we have found his sire’s line to be a good source of modern greys as well. When looking at Euphoria, you immediately notice her solid frame and presence. She is packing on the fleece-- her skirted cria fleece weighed in at her first show at 3.5 lbs. Judges comments "Lovely uniform & consistent fleece!" She placed 1st of six in the Light Brown Juvenile Female class. Update: Euphoria has been confirmed via ultra-sound and pregnant by Appaloosa herdsire-- Winchester. Watch for something out of the ordinary Fall 2026!

Healing Heart is a compact, minimally spotted appaloosa with a pedigree rich in appaloosas and harlequins. Development & Future Healing Heart had a slow start as a juvenile and wasn’t shown due to her smaller size, but she has matured into a compact, well-proportioned young female. Crescent Moon’s Imelda is an exciting young foundation female that we were thrilled to add to the Rare Gem Alpacas program through the 2026 Education with a Destination auction. From the moment we saw her, Imelda stood out for her phenotype, presence, and especially her striking head style. She is a beautifully balanced, feminine female with the kind of look that immediately draws your attention, while also offering the pedigree and fleece qualities we are continually seeking to strengthen within our foundation herd. Imelda is sired by Crescent Moon’s Tarcisius and out of the exceptional Crescent Moon’s Divine Inspiration. Tarcisius is an impressive male with tremendous presence, coverage, bone, and substance, while Divine Inspiration is an accomplished female with an outstanding show record of her own. Together, they represent two equally exciting sides of a pedigree filled with proven Crescent Moon and Snowmass genetics. Imelda's fleece data further supports what we admired in person. Imelda’s first fleece tested at an impressive 17.2 microns with a 98.8% comfort factor. As she matured, she maintained excellent fineness at 18.9 microns, while improving in uniformity with a lower SD and CV. We are excited about the combination of fineness, consistency, phenotype, and pedigree she brings to our program. Imelda is currently bred to Crescent Moon’s Humphrey and is due in May 2027. This pairing makes her addition especially exciting to us, as we look forward to welcoming not only Imelda as a new foundation female, but also the highly anticipated Humphrey offspring she is carrying. Following this breeding, we anticipate incorporating Imelda into our Appaloosa breeding program, where her phenotype, pedigree, fleece quality, and other characteristics make her an exciting candidate for the next phase of our breeding goals.
